Edina Dóci works as associate professor at Louvain School of Management & Louvain Research Institute in Management and Organizations at Université chatolique de Louvain. She is an affiliate professor at the School of Business and Economics of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She obtained her Master’s degree in sociology (with a specialization in Change Management) and her PhD in leadership psychology. Edina has wide ranging experience in deliberative and participatory democracy initiatives at both EU and local level, involving citizens in shaping EU policies and in co-creating the future for their communities. Her research focuses on transformational forms of leadership and inequalities in organizations, and her work appeared in leading scientific journals. Edina teaches courses on diversity management, cross-cultural management and humane management.
As the director of SLH, and in the framework of the VU Sustainability Strategy, she has been advocating for the integration of sustainability into education across the VU Amsterdam and beyond. Edina designs the content and methodology of various SLH educational, training and advisory programs and acts as advisor, educator and facilitator. She believes in the power and potential of education in accelerating the sustainability transition and is dedicated to working towards realizing this potential.
